Our link with Featherstone Rovers:
St Thomas' is proud to have links with our local rugby team Featherstone Rovers. Our school is constantly involved with the Rovers and are proud to announce that as from September 2013 Featherstone Rovers are supporting us throughout our PE curriculum.
Featherstone Rovers community manager Darren Payne is in regular contact with our school and first team players visit the school weekly to take a group for tag rugby. First team player Ian Hardman was a regular visitor throughout 2013 and was welcomed by both staff and pupils. Ian Hardman was able to use his knowledge and experience in order to develop some of our tag rugby teams skills and help them move forward.
St Thomas' Junior School would like to wish Featherstone Rovers all the best for the present season and hope to keep the link between the club and school for several years to come.
